View file protection snapshot policies

Network-attached storage is a file-level storage architecture that makes stored data more accessible to networked devices.

Click in the upper right corner to see a Initial Configuration window that outlines the configuration sequence. An overview of this configuration sequence is provided in Understanding PowerMax File for storage systems.

Steps

  1. Select a storage system that supports PowerMax File.
  2. Select Data Protection > File Protection.
  3. Select SNAPSHOT POLICIES.

    The following properties display:

    • Name—Policy name
    • NAS Server—ID of NAS server
    • File Systems—Number of file systems that are attached to the policy
    • Sync Replicated—Indication of sync replicated
    • Enabled—Indication that snapshot policy is enabled or disabled.
    • Health Indicator—Health indicator
    Click to view the following properties:
    • Name—Policy name
    • NAS Server—ID of NAS server
    • File Systems—Number of file systems that are attached to the policy
    • Sync Replicated—Indication of sync replicated
    • Enabled—Indication that snapshot policy is enabled or disabled.
    • Recovery Point Objective—Recovery Point Objective of the policy
    • File Snapshot Access Type—Snapshot Access Type
    • Retention Time—Retention Time of the Snapshots taken
    • Hourly Interval Offset—Offset value (if any) for hourly intervals
    • Alerts—Related alerts
